To promote the charitable arm of the Ann Arbor City Club, the Community Outreach Committee was created. One of the ways in which the Club advances the general welfare of the community is by donating annually to a local charity. Members nominate a charity and the committee chooses from among the nominees for a financial award.

Other Outreach Activities
Knitting for Kids -- Since 1990, Yam and Darn members have been involved in a "Caps for Kids" program, modeled after a similar Salvation Army program in Chicago. The annual program has provided up to 1500 handwork items not only for Christmas distribution by the Salvation Army but also for Safe House, SOS, and prematurely born children at Mott Children's Hospital.
AACC Walking Team -- The team participates in the Dexter Ann Arbor 5K walk. Proceeds go to various local groups, e.g., C. S Mott Building Fund, Hope Clinic, and the Michigan Blind Athletes Association. The walking team also participates in the American Cancer Society annual 5K walks.
Food Gatherers -- Our members are very generous with their collections of food for Food Gatherers.
City Club Duplicate Bridge (CCDB) -- Annual contributions are made to local and national charities.
Flu Shot Clinic -- The Club hosts a flu shot clinic operated by the Michigan Visiting Nurses Association. This clinic is open to the community.
