57th Annual Home Tour
Three "Old Style" Condominiums
Ronald G. Miller, Owner/Debra Moore, Project Manager
1901 Washtenaw Avenue

Miller Condominiums

Across from the City Club on the southeast corner at Wayne and Washtenaw.
Parking: Park on Wayne Street turning east off Washtenaw Avenue or park
in the Ann Arbor City Club lot.

This turn-of-the-century mansion continues its journey from a duplex family residence built in 1915 for one of Ann Arbor's affluent families and their aging parents, to a rental property in the 1950s. Now this elegant residence is in its final incarnation as three spacious, "old style" condominiums renovated by Custom Design/Build, Inc.

After 50 years as a five apartment student rental, this stately landmark home has been restored to its original grandeur and reconfigured as three luxury condominiums - homes well suited for those who love historical ambiance coupled with state of the art amenities.

Originally equipped with gas light fixtures, a servant call system, two graceful dining halls and nearly 9000 sq. ft of space, this landmark home will once again boast timeless, elegant features. As you enter into a luminous entry way with a Steuben chandelier, you will see a unique foyer mirror, sweeping staircases with exquisite wood handrails, and period fireplaces in the "old style."

The two grand front porches open to you an in-depth look at this grand slice of history and its remaking as three "old style" condominiums. You can see "before" photos, floor plans and sketches for each unit and see how this restoration has keep the grandeur of the original 1915 residence.

On June 1, the City of Ann Arbor under the auspices of the Historic District Commission, Ronald G. Miller, owner, and Debra Moore, project manager, will receive a Historical Renovation Award for retaining the historical integrity of this 1915 landmark as Custom Design/Build created three "Old Style" condos.
