About City Club Duplicate Bridge (CCDB)

bridge annual meetingRegularly scheduled games, sanctioned by ACBL, are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday afternoons at the Ann Arbor City Club (AACC). Players are expected to arrive by 12:50 so games can start at 1:00.

Because we are an invitational club, only AACC members can play. Occasionally we have games that are rated as OPEN by the ACBL, and people other than AACC members can play at those OPEN games.

bridge annual meetingWe are a congenial group. The photos were taken at our 2009 annual meeting and luncheon. We also have a fall luncheon and a holiday cookie party and we celebrate birthdays and ACBL milestones. Some players stay after a game to enjoy cocktails and camaraderie, during which you might hear excited talk about the University of Michigan football team or the Detroit Tigers.

The Ann Arbor City Club has bridge activities other than the CCDB. An ACBL game for players with less than 300 points is held on Thursday afternoons. Several social bridge groups meet at various times during the week. Classes for beginners through advanced players are held regularly. Call the City Club office (662-3279) for information.

You might enjoy lunch or dinner at the club on a bridge day. Check the Beacon, our newsletter, for days that the dining room is open for dinner. Many players order take-out meals for a delicious evening repast after a hard day at the bridge table.

For more information about CCDB, please email our CCDB Manager or our CCDB Head Director.
